- From $1,200 Gross Weekly (Travel)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments while ensuring strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sterilization & Instrument Processing
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and washer disinfectors
- Prepare and package instrument trays according to established standards
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and distribution of sterile supplies
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Follow ANSI/AAMI standards, IFUs, SOPs, and infection control guidelines
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning instruments
- Ensure all processes meet regulatory and safety requirements
Inventory & Workflow Management
- Track inventory and maintain adequate supply levels
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support daily operations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures
- Experience handling surgical instruments and processing equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CRCST, CIS, or equivalent Sterile Processing certification required
- Basic computer proficiency
