Sterling Medical is currently looking for

Sterile Processing Technicians

To perform sterile processing services

For

the 633rd Medical Group at Langley AFB

In Hampton, VA

Hours:

hours vary by location. 

Two locations:

Dental clinic-7:00am-4:00pm

Surgery Suite-6:30am-3:00pm

Monday - Friday

Both Dental and Surgical Techs must be able to perform the following duties:

· Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment

· Assemble instruments for the following services: General, Orthopedics, Cardiovacular ,Cardiothoracic, Neurology, Opthamology, Urology, Otolaryngology, Plastic and Oral/Dental.

· Prepare case carts and maintain sterile storage area.

· Operate instrumentation tracking system Washer-disinfector, ultrasonic, cart washer, steam sterrad and V Pro Max sterilizers.

· Have a strong knowledge of Medical Terminology, Surgical Procedures, and the reprocessing of Reusable Medical Equipment.

· Completion of Training Programs.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

 

Qualification:

Experience:

(1) One year of experience in the past (2) Two years as a Central Sterile supply technician

Education:

· Health Care Sterile Processing Association Certification (HSPA)

· Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

Certifications:

  • BLS
    In addition to the BLS, CPR and AED training. If not already certified prior to employment, it can be obtained through the education and training facility on base within 60 days of employment.
