Job Summary and Qualifications
A Sterile Processing Supervisor oversees the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety. Key responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, implementing quality control, and training new personnel. Strong leadership, technical knowledge of sterilization processes, and adherence to infection control standards are essential for this role.

Oversee quality control procedures and perform/validate sterilization tests
Training and development
Compliance Including those from organizations like the Joint Commission (JC), OSHA, CDC, and AAMI.

Job Qualifications
A Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent certification is required.
Experience: Previous experience in sterile processing is necessary, often with a minimum of 2-3 years.
Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and automated sterilization systems is critical.
Leadership and communication: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for managing a team and coordinating with other hospital staff.
