Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician looking to advance your career in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking a committed professional to ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control in our Surgical Services Department. Your expertise will be vital in preparing surgical instruments and equipment, supporting safe and efficient surgeries, and maintaining exceptional patient outcomes.
What Youll Bring to the Role:
Proven experience in all areas of sterile processing, including decontamination of instruments such as drills, DaVinci equipment, and scopes
Proficiency in sterilization methods, specifically Sterrad and steam sterilization processes
Knowledge of High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures and scope handling
Experience with sterile storage, case cart movement, and inventory management
Strong communication skills, with the ability to serve as an OR Liaison and support surgical teams
Familiarity with the Censitrac Tracking System or similar tracking tools
Ability to take and respond to OR calls across multiple floors
Must hold either CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with Censitrac or other case tracking systems
Additional certifications related to sterile processing or surgical support
Previous experience working with case carts and surgical scheduling
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST)
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in sterile processing within a hospital or surgical setting
Other Requirements:
Availability for Day shift (Monday through Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm) with occasional scheduled holidays
Must comply with all state, federal, and local laws regarding paid sick time
Willingness to travel or receive reimbursements for licensure/certification or other related expenses, if applicable
