-1st Shift Supervisor

Position Summary
The Supervisor of Central Service is responsible for assisting in the direction and overall operations of the Sterile Processing Department (CSSD). The Supervisor ensures all medical equipment/instruments, O.R., hospital wide are cleaned, sterilized, and assembled following regulatory and hospital standards. She/he maintains high levels of service and quality. This position is responsible for staff supervision and development, quality of sterile processing work performed, and maintaining effective inter-departmental relations within the department.

The Supervisor develops and maintains an environment that supports quality care in the processing of instrumentation and equipment for the hospital and aligns operations and performance improvement training, and capital equipment purchase and maintenance. The position is accountable for maintaining compliance with all applicable Joint Commission, County, State, and Federal agencies laws, regulations and standards.

Requirements


Associates degree or two (2) years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered
Completion of Central Processing Technician Course
Sterile Processing Technician and/or Sterile Processing Manager certification strongly preferred from International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Minimum three (3) years of experience in Central Processing
Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity in healthcare

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $66,997.00 - $96,408.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
