WHAT WE NEED

We’re looking for a Sterile Processing Production Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment where quality and communication are key.

This role works side-by-side with the Sterile Processing Production Coordinator to manage the flow of instrumentation through sterilization and production. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and organization throughout every step of the process – from tray receipt to sterilization to delivery.

You’ll succeed in this role if you bring strong sterile processing experience, deep familiarity with loaner and consignment tray management, and an eye for detail. You’re hands-on, organized, and take pride in doing things right the first time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Loaner & Consignment Tray Support

  • Receive and inspect incoming loaner and consignment trays to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in verifying tray contents before and after sterilization according to standards and documentation.
  • Partner with the Production Coordinator and SPD leadership to track trays throughout the sterilization and return cycle.
  • Communicate promptly with vendors and teammates to ensure all trays are processed on schedule.

Production Workflow & Instrument Flow

  • Support the daily production flow, helping prioritize workloads and meet operational deadlines.
  • Identify and escalate issues or discrepancies related to tray contents, timing, or documentation.
  • Maintain organized workspaces and support the overall efficiency of the SPD.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with the Production Coordinator, SPD leadership, and team members to align on priorities and progress.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, delivery confirmations, and documentation as needed.
  • Represent Instrumentum’s standards of professionalism, reliability, and excellence in every interaction.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Accurately record data in tracking systems, ensuring traceability for all tray movements and sterilization records.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives by maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement in accuracy, turnaround time, or communication.

WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER

  • Consistent, accurate handling of loaner and consignment trays from receipt through sterilization and return.
  • Reliable communication and coordination that supports the Production Coordinator and SPD leadership team.
  • Organized, efficient production support that keeps daily workflows running at peak precision.
  • Meticulous documentation that ensures compliance and quality.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A great working environment. We’re building something special, and you’ll be a key part of that.
  • Opportunities for growth with a fast-moving company that’s dedicated to excellence.
  • A supportive, energetic team that’s as driven as you are.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on SPD experience, including experience with loaner and consignment trays.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and documentation procedures.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
