Position Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to support a high-performing surgical services department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with sterilization standards, and driving quality improvement initiatives to support patient safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leadership to oversee daily sterile processing operations
- Support staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and competency validation
- Ensure compliance with sterilization standards, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols
- Maintain instrument quality and optimize workflow efficiency across service lines
- Coordinate with Operating Room (OR) and specialty departments for seamless operations
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements
- Promote collaboration and engagement across clinical and operational teams
- Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of Sterile Processing experience
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Completion of a two-year Surgical Technology program or
- CRCST certification (HSPA/IAHCSMM) or
- CSPDT certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with SPM Workflow systems
- Prior leadership experience in a surgery center or similar environment
