ITS has a client that is seeking a Sales Manager in the Steel Industry, for the Western Region, defined as all U.S. States west of the Mississippi River, as well as Illinois and Wisconsin, to drive growth, expand market presence, and strengthen key customer relationships. If you are a steel industry professional with strong negotiation skills and a decisive, customer-focused approach, this is an opportunity to lead with impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead sales activity across a customer base throughout the Midwest and Western states to grow revenue and expand accounts
- Develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Prepare accurate pricing and proposals, negotiate profitable long-term agreements
- Monitor market conditions and share timely insights with leadership and the sales team
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, quality, and logistics to ensure commitments are met
- Conduct regular customer visits with the sales team to identify opportunities
- Forecast performance, track results, and adjust strategies to meet objectives
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of steel, service center, supply, or manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of flat-rolled steel and customer manufacturing needs
- Proven ability to negotiate and secure competitive business
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with high integrity and discretion
