Steel Plant Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Youngstown, OH. If you have hands-on experience in maintaining industrial machinery and thrive in a safety-conscious environment, we want to hear from you.

Our client specializes in producing steel fabrications and counterweights. This role is vital to ensuring smooth operations and minimizing equipment downtime. As part of their growing team, you'll report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery and mechanical systems. Hours: 3rd Shift, 00:00:00 – 12:00:01, On-Site

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain industrial production or processing machinery and equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions by observing and testing equipment performance
• Repair or replace defective components and parts
• Disassemble engines and mechanical units for inspection and repair
• Clean and inspect mechanical parts such as pistons, valves, transmissions, and clutches
• Install new or reconditioned parts, including brake bands, clutch plates, sprockets, and pump components

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using hand tools and maintenance equipment
• Ability to read and follow oral and written work orders
• Experience using voltmeters and other testing devices
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
• Ability to work any shift (preferred)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Manufacturing, steel industry experience
• Supervisory or leadership skills
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Coaching experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience
• Relevant technical certifications (if any)
