    Lead the Team That Builds Complex Custom Equipment

    If you're looking for more than managing a production shop, this is an opportunity to lead a skilled fabrication team building one-of-a-kind industrial equipment used by customers across aerospace, defense, semiconductor, chemical processing, water treatment, and other advanced manufacturing industries. 


    Our client is an established engineering and manufacturing company with more than 40 years of experience designing and fabricating highly engineered process systems. Every project is custom. Every build is different. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality fabrication projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. 

    What You'll Do

    • Lead and develop a team of approximately 10 to 20 fabricators and welders
    • Plan and schedule daily shop production
    • Review fabrication drawings and work packages
    • Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment
    • Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and productivity
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the fabrication shop
    • Coach and mentor fabrication personnel
    • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, and Assembly teams
    • Deliver projects on schedule while managing labor budgets and production goals 


    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of hands-on steel fabrication experience
    • 5+ years leading fabrication teams in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong blueprint reading and fabrication layout skills
    • Experience with MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and structural welding processes
    • Experience fabricating tanks, skids, piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, or other custom industrial equipment
    • Knowledge of AWS and ASME fabrication standards
    • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Bilingual English and Spanish
    • Experience leading custom fabrication rather than high-volume production environments

    $115,000–$155,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
