Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Statistician III to support the US Army National Guard (USARNG) G-1 Human Resources Management System (HRMS) contract. This role involves developing and applying advanced statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize complex data sets, transforming them into actionable insights that support mission-critical decision-making.

 

The Statistician III will work independently on high-visibility aspects of the program and may oversee the work of junior staff or lead specific statistical tasks.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and apply mathematical and statistical models to analyze HR and operational data.
  • Design and implement data collection strategies and statistical methodologies to support program goals.
  • Interpret and summarize complex numerical data to produce clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with program managers, analysts, and technical teams to support strategic planning and performance evaluation.
  • May oversee or mentor less senior statisticians and analysts on assigned tasks or projects.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on high-visibility or mission-critical projects.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in statistical analysis, preferably in a federal or DoD environment.
  • Must have a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with military or government HR data systems.
  • Familiarity with economic statistics or workforce analytics.
  • Knowledge of federal data privacy and security standards.
