Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Planning Specialist 4 to support the Transportation Data, GIS, and Modeling Office through the maintenance, reporting, and management of the statewide Distance Measuring Instrument (DMI), GIS-based state route Linear Referencing Systems (LRS), and Roadway Characteristics Inventory (RCI) data. These systems and datasets support critical agency functions including safety analysis, project development and delivery, maintenance, and transportation planning across the state. The top candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills, experience working with GIS and transportation data systems, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
