STARK REGIONAL COMMUNITY CORRECTION CENTERWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERJOB DESCRIPTIONOPERATIONS COMPLIANCE DIRECTORDepartment: Operations Status: ExemptPurpose: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the safety and security of the building, staff and clientsReports To: DirectorEnvironmental Conditions: Indoors PPE Needed: PPE kits are available if needed, not regularly used to complete job dutiesWork Schedule: 8am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday Varying work hours, 80-hour bi-weekly schedule.Pay Range: $44.50 - $47.50 Based on Education or Experience, or equivalent combinationUpdated: 1/2026==============================SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Operations Compliance Director will be the facilities PREA Coordinator and conduct PREA Investigations (staff and client), and staff investigations. Ensure the agency is compliance ready for American Correctional Association (ACA), PREA, and ODRC standards. This position will report directly to the Director of the facility and will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with a wide range of operational and regulatory requirements. This position serves a critical role in maintaining high standards of operational integrity and effectiveness throughout the organizationDuties:The duties listed below are intended to illustrate work functions performed by the position.Program/Operational Duties:- Maintains an atmosphere conducive to agency philosophy and humane living conditions.- Provide oversight for food service operations, oversee In2Work program and Fresh favorites- Responsible for coordinating the college internship program, obtaining schedules, and on the job training for college interns- Processes PREA, client and staff investigations and provides written documentation of same. Acts as PREA Coordinator for agency. - Assist with handling crisis situations in program, follows policies and procedures and calls for assistance when necessary and documents all such situations per agency policy.- Reviews critical incidents each morning and follows-up with the entry with staff and with administration to inform and discuss any plans of action.- Ensures contraband has been documented and placed in correct location.- Ensures American Correctional Association, ODRC and PREA compliance as related to appropriate standards.- Oversee and ensure compliance with ICS phone solutions- Provide oversight of Keefe commissary operations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.- Maintain and update policies, conducting annual policy reviews to ensure alignment with current standards and best practices- Oversee investigations, and serve as the independent hearing officer for all pre-disciplinary hearings.- Assist with quality assurance of classes and curriculum for all treatment programs.General Duties:- Understands and adheres to policy and procedural requirements of SRCCC.- Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to all information obtained and processed in the operation of the SRCCC program.- Maintains accurate documentation necessary for reports which can be utilized by the Director.- Supplements facility coverage.- Subject to being called into work at any time due to emergency situations and/or coverage needs.- Meets with the Director on a regular basis for a mutual exchange of work-related current events or as needed or requested. Meets with employees under his/her supervision on a daily basis for a mutual exchange of current events relative to the general operation of the SRCCC program and to share information relative to their specific areas of responsibility. Participates in scheduled Supervisor''s meetings, All-Staff meetings, and other meetings as required.- Works with the Director to continuously upgrade the effectiveness and efficiency of the facility's security and other areas of responsibility.- Utilizes audio-visual equipment on an as needed basis. Contacts maintenance department for all other equipment and furnishings for repair needs.- Completes a minimum of forty (40) hours of in-service training per year, including 24 hours of evidence-based practices. Participates in seminars and continuing education programs when appropriate and feasible.- Be energy conscious and stress conservation.- Assists in the development of policy and procedures.- Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, operations management, or a related discipline. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.Experience: Proven experience in operations compliance, preferably in a correctional setting.In-depth knowledge of Bureau of Community Sanctions (BCS) IMA standards, American - Correctional Association (ACA), and accreditation requirements, and the accreditation and facility compliance of PREA standards. Strong understanding of audit preparation and oversight. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex compliance initiatives.Sound judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in the context client and staff investigations.NOTE: This position/job description in no matter states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed and is subject to change at any time by your Supervisor and/ or the Director.
