Standards & Procedures Specialist

The Specialist, Standards & Procedures supports development, maintenance, implementation, and operational alignment of fleetwide standard operating procedures, operational documentation, curriculum materials, and operational systems alignment across operational departments.

This position supports Hotel Operations, Culinary Operations, Guest Experience, Interior Operations, Marine Operations, Engineering, Fleet Operations Center (FOC), and associated operational initiatives supporting consistent fleetwide operational execution.

The role works closely with operational leadership, shipboard management, subject matter experts, Information Systems teams, and Training Center leadership to support operational standards alignment across shipboard and shoreside operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Standards & Procedures

  • Support development, revision, and maintenance of fleet standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
  • Support operational publication, version control, and documentation alignment processes.
  • Support operational standards alignment across departments and management systems.
  • Maintain operational references, supporting documentation, and associated implementation materials.

Curriculum & Training

  • Support development and maintenance of curriculum and operational training materials.
  • Support alignment between operational procedures and training implementation.
  • Support recurrent shipboard training associated with operational procedure updates and revisions.
  • Support American Academy operational curriculum initiatives as assigned.

Systems & Operational Alignment

  • Support operational alignment involving SharePoint, HelmCONNECT, Teams, Panatrack, and proprietary operational
  • systems.
  • Support operational implementation involving inspections, checklists, certification tracking, and operational workflows.
  • Support operational documentation alignment across management systems and operational processes.

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with operational leadership and subject matter experts regarding standards alignment and implementation support.
  • Support Fleet Operations Center documentation initiatives and operational support functions.
  • Support operational implementation initiatives across Hotel, Culinary, Marine, Engineering, and associated operational departments.
  • Support operational audits, implementation reviews, and procedural alignment initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience in operational standards, operational documentation, hospitality operations, Marine Operations, Engineering.

  • Operations, curriculum development, training implementation, or related operational environments preferred.

  • Strong organizational and written communication skills.

  • Strong procedural alignment and operational coordination capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple operational initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel 5-10% with additional travel possible based upon company needs.
