Quest, Inc. is seeking a Staffing Manager - Intermediate Care Facility to oversee staffing operations across our residential services programs. This role is responsible for managing schedules, developing staff, overseeing payroll, ensuring regulatory staffing compliance, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs).

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to hold staff accountable while fostering a positive, mission-driven culture. You will spend time engaging with staff, supporting training efforts, monitoring service delivery, and helping ensure the individuals we serve lead meaningful, enriching lives.

What Youll Do

  • Interview, hire, onboard, and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Lead Staff.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, including introductory and annual performance reviews.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust staffing schedules across multiple shifts while ensuring appropriate staffing ratios and minimizing overtime.
  • Serve as a key resource for staff scheduling needs, including participation in an on-call rotation to address staffing emergencies and call-outs.
  • Monitor attendance, time-off requests, payroll accuracy, overtime usage, and employee timekeeping records.
  • Hold staff accountable to policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and performance standards through coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Provide ongoing training, retraining, and hands-on support to direct care staff.
  • Partner with program, nursing, and leadership teams to ensure high-quality care and active treatment services for individuals served.
  • Conduct regular observations of staff performance and interaction with individuals receiving services.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and communicate important operational updates to teams.
  • Monitor employee training compliance through the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain accurate training records.
  • Support risk management and workplace safety initiatives, including injury prevention and workers compensation procedures.
  • Review daily communication logs, address operational concerns, and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with direct support coverage when staffing shortages occur.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising large teams (10+ employees).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a comparable human services, behavioral health, residential care, or healthcare environment.
  • Experience managing employee schedules, attendance, staffing needs, and performance.
  • Valid Florida Drivers License with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience operating or training staff on Hoyer lifts, adaptive equipment, wheelchair supports, and similar assistive devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict, hold employees accountable, and address performance concerns in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in an ICF, residential, group home, or developmental disability services environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing, staffing systems, and learning management systems.
  • Experience facilitating staff training and presenting information in group settings.
  • Personal caregiving experience supporting a family member or loved one with disabilities or significant care needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transfer, or assist with individuals and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate adaptive equipment, including Hoyer lifts and wheelchair-accessible transportation vehicles.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for documentation, computer work, and assisting with daily support activities.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Ability to work in residential and community-based environments with potential exposure to varying environmental conditions, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
  • Ability to drive company or approved vehicles as needed.
