Job Summary:
Responsible for maximizing the potential of the automated nurse scheduling program, maintaining accurate data base in scheduling system, and working with the Clinical Managers to create and generate work schedules for all unit staff. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of the employees to meet unit and individual needs while maintaining the integrity of the schedule. Collaborate with the PRN staff and the Mobile Resource Pool to assist with pre-assignments and scheduling. This will require flexible hours and after hours contact with employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent hospital and or scheduling experience. Experience with OneStaff Scheduling program preferred.

Licensure/Certification: None.
Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, computer science, and staff scheduling. Skillful in data analysis, Microsoft Office/Word and or scheduling programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be self-directed and able to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) employees, managers, and other staffing coordinators.
Work Demands/Environment:
Frequent sitting. Frequently requires long periods of working at a computer. Intermittent walking, standing, stooping, bending. May require lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. No exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Normal office environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend. Travel may be required.
