LHH is seeking an Energy Accountant at the staff to senior level to join our client's team. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys hands-on accounting work, wants exposure to both AP and revenue processes, and is looking for long-term growth.
The position focuses heavily on JIB and AP processing, reconciliations, and analysis, with opportunities to expand responsibilities over time. The anticipated salary is between $60,000-$90,000 a year.
Responsibilities: • Process and upload JIB and AP transactions accurately and timely • Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end close activities • Perform account analysis and reconciliations, including ad hoc requests • Assist with AP accruals and bank reconciliations • Support internal reporting and financial analysis as needed • Gain exposure to revenue accounting processes • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 1-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the energy industry • Familiarity with JIB accounting and accounts payable processes • Strong Excel skills and general accounting system experience • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment • Exposure to revenue accounting • Experience with reconciliations and accruals
