Are you a seasoned engineer who thrives on the thrill of creating innovative solutions to complex problems? We are seeking a Permanent Staff R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. In this role, you will be an integral part of our R&D team, responsible for designing, developing, and validating cutting-edge engineering solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative environment, where your expertise in DFM, Auto Cad, Machine Design, DHF, VOC, GD&T, Prototyping, Design controls, risk management, root cause, validation, MS Project, Minitab will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of innovative products and solutions using your expertise in DFM, Auto Cad, Machine Design, and other relevant tools.
- Develop and manage design history files (DHF) for new products, ensuring all processes and specifications are properly documented.
- Conduct voice of customer (VOC) research to understand customer needs and incorporate them into product designs.
- Apply GD&T principles in product design and prototyping.
- Implement design controls and risk management strategies throughout the product development process.
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve design and production issues.
- Execute validation activities for new products, ensuring they meet all quality and performance standards.
- Manage project timelines and resources using MS Project.
- Use Minitab for statistical analysis in support of product design and validation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proficiency in DFM, Auto Cad, Machine Design, DHF, VOC, GD&T, Prototyping, Design controls, risk management, root cause, validation, MS Project, Minitab.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from concept to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
