What You'll Do
• Own the architecture, design, and evolution of power delivery systems for high-density, GPU-accelerated data centers. • Design, validate, and optimize rack-level and server-level power delivery solutions. • Partner closely with data center teams to define end-to-end power architecture-from building infrastructure through the rack. • Collaborate with world-class engineers developing next-generation AI/ML hardware platforms. • Review and evaluate JDM/ODM high-speed designs, including power integrity simulations; independently run simulations as needed. • Work hand-in-hand with power engineers to review, refine, and validate power designs. • Debug complex power and system-level issues, incorporating learnings back into future designs. • Lead schematic, board, and power design reviews to ensure quality, safety, and reliability. • Drive power designs from early concept through mass production. • Ensure designs meet high standards for efficiency, safety, reliability, and scalability. • Partner with manufacturing teams to support production readiness and ramp. • Actively contribute to architectural discussions, providing strong hardware design guidance and tradeoff analysis. • Mentor and support the growth of junior engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on internal power design experience. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong expertise in power delivery and power system design. Proven ability to collaborate across hardware, mechanical, thermal, and systems teams from concept through production. Experience with server platforms, including power, thermal, mechanical, and signal integrity considerations. Deep understanding of PCB, PCBA, and system-level manufacturing processes, including test and validation. Excellent debugging skills across complex, cross-disciplinary issues. Solid knowledge of design for manufacturability, reliability, and scale. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience designing complex hardware systems with high-speed interfaces. Strong electrical board design expertise. Experience leading cross-functional design efforts in fast-paced environments. Strong documentation and design review practices. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills. Understanding of rack-level power requirements and their impact on upstream infrastructure, including UPSs, generators, and power generation systems.
