Qualifications and Skills
Current, active Texas Pharmacist license required
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy (or foreign pharmacy graduate meeting requirements)
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and verification skills in a high-volume environment
Ability to prioritize workload and make sound clinical/operational decisions under time pressure
Experience supervising technicians and coaching for compliance, quality, and productivity
Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients and providers
Comfortable with pharmacy workflow, prescription review, and operational quality standards
Responsibilities
Provide daily pharmaceutical care and support safe medication management for patients
Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant, efficient workflow
Review prescriptions prior to dispensing; verify questionable or complex orders and resolve issues appropriately
Ensure technician work is checked in alignment with State Board of Pharmacy requirements and pharmacy regulations
Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, clinics, and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and therapy needs
Maintain proper storage, handling, and inventory practices to meet legal and regulatory standards
Support pharmacy operations and order logistics as needed to ensure timely fulfillment
Maintain continuing education requirements to keep licensure active and in good standing
Follow all applicable policies and procedures related to patient safety, quality, and compliance
