Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible for compliance with standards of practice and professional development according to the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
- Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management.
- Administer medications safely according to policy.
- Ensure effective resource utilization.
- Comply with nursing practice standards and policies.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6 months - 3 years of RN experience.
- 0 - 3 years of management experience.
- 5+ years of direct experience.
- Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational understanding and planning abilities.
- Focus on quality, reliability, safety, and risk management.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Clinical nursing experience in acute care or ambulatory setting.
Schedule Notes
12 days (7am-7pm, 36/week), every other weekend. Med Surg MT5 Oncology. Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. Med/surg tele background. Chemo administration experience highly preferred.
