Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables related to site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
  • Utilize digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
  • Apply knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes, and BV policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.
  • Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities, and estimates, and record findings.
  • Support field activities and coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.
  • Assist in ensuring deliverables are in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Proactively seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience in civil engineering or design.
  • Advanced experience with Civil 3D, including use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development.
  • Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation is preferred.
  • Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and applicable codes.
  • Excellent technical skills in CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling software.
  • Ability to review and interpret design inputs and project requirements accurately.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
