Staff Attorney – Eviction Prevention UnitThis full‑time position is part of the statewide Eviction Prevention Unit (EPU) and reports to the EPU Southwest Region Managing Attorney. The EPU Staff Attorney will be based in NJP's Longview office and will primarily serve Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties, although coverage may be required in surrounding areas or statewide through remote appearances or travel.ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in eviction‑prevention proceedings and related civil matters.Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and motion filings.Engage with community partners to support the legal aid community's commitment to race equity.Provide remote appearances and travel as required to serve clients.QualificationsQualified attorney with experience in civil litigation, particularly eviction or housing law.Professional, personal, and/or service experience that supports race equity and community engagement.Willingness to be engaged with the community to be served.Language skills beyond English recognized with compensation if frequently used.Benefits and CompensationAnnual salary range starting at $83,548 to $146,692, based on years of experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including 100% paid employee health premiums and significant premium shares for family health premiums.Generous time off.#J-18808-Ljbffr
