Class Summary

Job Description

This position is assigned to the Police Training Division and is responsible for providing administrative support to staff members. The incumbent will compile monthly reports, order supplies, perform audits of equipment used for training, and manage class rosters.

Essential Duties

  • Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting
  • Answers phones and directs calls to appropriate parties
  • Distributes mail
  • Maintains files, logs, and forms
  • Carries out testing procedures (as needed)
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Other Job Requirements/Information

  • This job is a civilian position in a public safety department. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.

Grade

The grade for this position is 97. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, AND
  • Two (2) years of administrative support or related office experience, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
