We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 1-2 years of experience who is looking to expand their technical accounting skills, gain exposure to month-end close activities, and grow within a collaborative environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support financial reporting and analysis initiatives
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expense schedules
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP standards
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting-related issues
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, including internship experience considered
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger concepts
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
