Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

• Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles

• Manage automated reconciliation of cash and credit card receipts to point of sale receipts, investigate any variances

• Reconcile ACH payments against system transactions, record all fees and withdrawals via journal entries

• Record biweekly payroll and month end accruals

• Update balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards to ensure accurate cash reporting

• Collaborate with team members across departments to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies

• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Accounting degree required

• 2+ years of experience as an accounting professional

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detail

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

• Capacity and desire to be agile in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other analytical formulas and tools.
