Position: Staff Accountant (Temp to Hire)

Location: Culver City, CA
Pay: $30–$36 per hour


Position Summary

The Accountant maintains accounting records for multiple divisions, including full accounts payable, accounts receivable, and supporting financial reporting.

Reports To: Accounting Manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and general bookkeeping systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee AP, AR, and payroll allocations for assigned divisions.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports as applicable.
  • Analyze financial data to support budgeting and fiscal planning.
  • Assist in preparing business and property tax returns and maintaining business licenses.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including additions/disposals and reporting.
  • Support year-end audit preparation in collaboration with management.
  • Use QuickBooks Pro, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word proficiently.
  • Maintain data integrity and security across all systems.
  • Provide procedural guidance and support to finance team members.
  • Ensure complete and accurate accounting documentation.
  • Prepare AP reports and execute approved journal entries.
  • Deliver monthly financial reports to the Controller by the 10th of each month.
  • Manage special projects and keep leadership informed of progress.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with workflow and staffing needs.
  • Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and effective vendor/staff relationships.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and chain of command.
    • Handle mail distribution and other assigned tasks as needed.
