Worksite Address: Seattle, WA 98108Our food and beverage industry client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their team! The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close, and partnering with operations and leadership.The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑unit environment.Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:Prepare and post journal entriesMaintain general ledger across multiple entitiesPerform account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, accruals, prepaids)Assist with month‑end and year‑end closePrepare and file WA Excise and Seattle B&O tax returnsProcess invoices and payments using Bill.com or similar systemsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesManage 1099 filingsPerform cash reconciliations and deposit trackingReconcile POS systems (e.g., CTUIT, Toast) to the general ledgerApply customer payments and manage AR agingInvestigate and resolve variancesPrepare supporting schedules for financial reportingAssist with variance analysisSupport process improvements and reporting accuracyWhat the successful Staff Accountant will have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–5 years of accounting experience (multi‑entity or restaurant experience preferred)Strong understanding of GAAPExperience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Dynamics)Familiarity with Bill.com and POS systems is a plusAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)CPA preferred (not required)Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyProblem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvementCompensation Range:$36.00 to $43.00 per hour, DOEBenefits:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffOur client is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
