Vaco is seeking a Staff Accountant for a law firm in Phoenix!

Responsibilities include: 

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts 

  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts regularly 

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes 

  • Prepare financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports 

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement 

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities 

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations 

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation 

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and organized financial records 

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information 

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls 

 

 

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience (Required) 

  • Legal/Law firm experience (Required) 

  • QuickBooks experience (Highly Preferred) 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Required) 

  • Willingness to go on site 2 days a week 

  • Salary $70-85k
