Staff Accountant

The Richmond Group USA (TRG) is working with a telecom equipment provider in Richmond, VA to hire an Accountant! This small team offers a family-friendly culture and is poised to double in size!

Your opportunity to work directly with an accomplished CPA / controller to tackle challenges and think innovatively to streamline operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end financial close process.
• Generating accurate financial statements, cash flow statements, and other reports crucial for decision-making.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel is required and experience with Sage 300 is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work meticulously in the details ("in the weeds") while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
• Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A proactive and self-motivated individual with a "roll your sleeves up" mentality.
