Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Little Rock, MO. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly close process
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Support accrual accounting activities, including prepaids, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities
  • Assist in maintaining supporting schedules and documentation for financial transactions
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting
  • Assist with variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget and prior periods
  • Generate recurring financial and operational reports for leadership
  • Assist in analyzing financial performance across business units or locations
  • Support accounts payable processing and vendor-related activities
  • Assist with cash management activities, including bank and cash reconciliations
  • Monitor daily cash activity and maintain banking records
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with accounting for bonuses, PTO accruals, and payroll liabilities
  • Partner with HR and payroll providers to resolve discrepancies
  • Support audit requests by preparing schedules and required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Maintain organized records to support audit readiness
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows
  • Participate in system enhancements and process automation initiatives
  • Support onboarding or integration of new entities as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and HR teams
  • Communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar)
  • Exposure to AP tools, payroll systems, or banking platforms
  • CPA eligibility or progress toward certification is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
