This role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to collaborate with both plant and corporate teams, and a commitment to delivering timely, compliant financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will handle reconciliations, financial analysis, tax and audit support, and a wide range of accounting functions that contribute to operational efficiency and organizational growth.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the monthly close process and maintain the general ledgerPrepare balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit schedulesInput receivables, apply cash receipts, and assign costs by jobPost payroll entries including benefits, taxes, and deductionsReconcile 941 to the general ledgerPrepare intercompany invoices and maintain intercompany reconciliationsReview and manage accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare expense accruals, correcting journal entries, and AP accrual listsMaintain inventory valuation worksheets and reconcile to perpetual inventoryReview revenue and COGS postings; accrue WIP and expenses as neededSupport audits, tax filings, and banking requirementsCalculate multi‑state sales and use taxes and prepare remittancesAssist with financial statement preparation, cash management, and treasury functionsMaintain and reconcile fixed asset schedulesDevelop procedures and reports to improve accounting efficiencyProvide financial analysis for projects, capital expenditures, and costingServe as a key ERP user and support system improvementsInvestigate and correct errors in financial entries and reportingRecommend process improvements to strengthen accounting operationsPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting3–7 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with sales tax and multi‑state tax filingsStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with ERP systems; Microsoft AX preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with employees at all levelsAbility to succeed in a fast paced, multi‑dimensional departmentWillingness to sign a Patent & Trade Secret agreement upon hire#J-18808-Ljbffr
