At Sibex, finance powers everything we do. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, ensuring our budgets, reporting, and client accounts stay on track.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles and a genuine enthusiasm for working with numbers. You should have a solid understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and day-to-day financial transactions within an organization. Through precision, consistency, and a proactive mindset, you’ll contribute directly to informed decision-making and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting and data integrity to support informed financial decision-making aligned with Sibex, Inc. objectives.
- Support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Assist in preparing schedules and insightful commentary on management account results and variances, as well as contributing to working capital and cash flow reporting.
- Maintain and update financial records and reports related to profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports for senior management by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing financial data and trends.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, collections, and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably in a staff accountant position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and corporate finance practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information.
- Desire to continue professional growth through training.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business accounting or finance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and validate financial data.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles.
- Netsuite Experience Preferred.
