St. Pius X School, located at 1061 Waggoner Road in Reynoldsburg, is seeking Development Director.

Position Overview
The Development Director is a 12-month position that reports directly to St. Pius X Parish and School
Administration. This individual will provide strategic leadership in the planning, implementation, and
management of advancement initiatives that support the mission, growth, and long-term sustainability of
the parish and school. The Development Director will develop and execute a comprehensive development
program that engages alumni, current and former families, parishioners, community partners, and donors
through fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship, annual giving, major gifts, alumni relations, grant
opportunities, and special events.

Working collaboratively with parish and school leadership, the Development Director will build meaningful
relationships, strengthen community engagement, and foster a culture of philanthropy that advances the
mission of St. Pius X Parish and School. The successful candidate will serve as the primary leader of
development efforts, helping to secure the financial resources necessary to support current needs and
future growth. The position may be structured as either part-time or full-time based on the qualifications of
the candidate and the needs of the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the alumni relations and development director include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual development plan with measurable fundraising goals and objectives that support the mission and strategic priorities of St. Pius X Parish and School.
  • Lead all fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, capital and endowment campaigns, planned giving opportunities, grant funding, corporate sponsorships, and donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with current and prospective donors, including parishioners, alumni, parents, grandparents, foundations, corporations, and community partners.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive alumni relations program that fosters engagement, volunteerism, communication, and philanthropic support among alumni and former school families.
  • Coordinate and support development-related events, including but not limited to the Gala of Giving, SPX Feast Day Festival, Diocesan Appeal, SGO initiatives, alumni events, donor recognition activities, and other parish and school fundraising efforts.
  • Maintain and oversee donor and alumni databases, ensuring accurate gift processing, recordkeeping, acknowledgements, donor communications, pledge tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual development reports, including fundraising performance metrics, donor activity, and campaign updates, for parish and school leadership and the Finance Council.
  • Research, write, and manage grant applications and reports to foundations, corporations, and other funding organizations.
  • Collaborate with parish and school leadership to develop and implement communication strategies that promote the mission, vision, and impact of St. Pius X Parish and School.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers, committees, and advisory groups involved in development and fundraising activities.
  • Monitor fundraising trends, best practices, and opportunities to strengthen advancement efforts and increase philanthropic support.
  • Attend and support parish, school, alumni, and community events as needed to build relationships and advance development goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will exhibit initiative, creativity, responsibility, flexibility and work well in a collaborative
team environment while maintaining highly confidential information.
 
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced and degree professional development is strongly encouraged to remain current in best practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken form; ability to maintain organization, multi-task, and establish priorities
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and working knowledge of donor database and/or CRM platform is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Practicing Catholic preferred
  • Successful completion of background screening and VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training course mandatory
Compensation and Benefits
St. Pius X School offers a full complement of benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, short & long-term
disability and matching 403(b). Full-time benefits are according to Diocesan policy. A tuition discount is
available for children who attend St. Pius X school. This is a year-round, at-will, non-contractual position.
