HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Senior Trade Compliance Analyst is a subject matter expert who is responsible for executing import and customs compliance transactions, including HTS classification, entry review, and country of origin, while ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations.
This is a hybrid position based near Atlanta, GA.
EXPECTATIONS
· Classify imported products to the HTS/HTSUS, applying GRI methodology and CBP ruling research
· Review customs entry data for classification, valuation, quantity, and country of origin accuracy
· Respond to CBP CF-28 and CF-29 requests and broker queries with supporting regulatory research
· Conduct audits of import entries and document findings for corrective action
· Research Free Trade Agreement (FTA) origin qualification and support supplier certification
· Support AD/CVD scope analysis and monitor applicable orders affecting assigned product categories
· Support duty drawback claim preparation including transaction matching and data validation
· Maintain trade recordkeeping in compliance with CBP five-year retention requirements
ESSENTIALS
· Bachelor's degree required
· 5+ years of trade compliance experience in import and customs operations
· Working knowledge of HTS classification methodology including GRI application and CBP ruling research
· Familiarity with customs entry components including valuation methods and country of origin under 19 CFR
· Strong documentation discipline and recordkeeping aligned with CBP retention requirements
· Proficiency with trade management systems or ERP-integrated compliance workflows
· Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
