Where You Will Work
This position is based at our clients global headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning, and other corporate functions from the main office, satellite offices, or online.
This is a hybrid role. You will participate in virtual collaboration and attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open and flexible workspace with a working cafe, phone booths, and meeting rooms equipped for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance requirements vary by position and department.

Job Description
The Federal Tax Accountant is primarily responsible for assisting the Tax Director with preparation of the Company’s U.S. federal income tax returns. Secondary responsibilities include supporting process improvement initiatives related to the U.S. federal income tax return process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Compile data for and prepare the Company’s consolidated U.S. federal corporate income tax return using CorpTax applications.
- Prepare additional U.S. federal income tax returns for entities not included in the consolidated filing.
- Assist corporate tax department personnel with tax technical research, tax technology, and process design.
- Assist with maintenance and support of tax department applications and databases.
- Implement department SOX controls related to U.S. tax return preparation.
- Assist with reconciliation of U.S. federal income tax returns to amounts reported in publicly filed financial statements.
- Support Internal Revenue Service audit documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and four years of experience in Tax or Accounting; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and two years of experience as an Accountant with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations, including corporate consolidations.
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft tools including SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Proficient in BNA, RIA, CCH, and other tax and accounting research tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax.
- CPA designation highly preferred.
- Experience with SAP, OneStream, CorpTax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query, and Power BI.
Additional Requirements
- Must have federal tax experience.
- International tax experience strongly preferred.
- Experience must be with large companies, not small firms.
- CPA required.
- SAP experience required; OneStream experience is critical.
