Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Storage Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate with experience administering enterprise backup, recovery, and storage environments while ensuring data protection, system availability, and disaster recovery readiness.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Storage Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Administer and support enterprise backup, recovery, and storage environments using IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect), Rubrik, and Commvault platforms.

  • Troubleshoot backup failures, restore issues, storage performance bottlenecks, and data protection challenges to ensure system reliability.

  • Manage backup infrastructure upgrades, client migrations, storage lifecycle activities, and disaster recovery preparedness initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain automation, monitoring, and reporting solutions using PowerShell and Bash scripting to improve operational efficiency.

  • Support cyber recovery, immutable backup solutions, Cyber Vault technologies, and compliance requirements to strengthen data resiliency.

  • Collaborate with Linux, Windows, virtualization, database, and storage teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise infrastructure operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Storage Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 6-8 years of experience in enterprise storage, backup and recovery administration, or infrastructure engineering.

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect), Rubrik, Commvault, EMC Storage Platforms, and enterprise backup/recovery solutions.

  • Proven expertise in storage troubleshooting, disaster recovery, cyber recovery solutions, backup optimization, automation scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
