At Schwab, the Finance and Regulatory Reporting Technology team provides business technology strategy, solutions and support for Schwab''s Corporate Controller, Financial Planning & Analysis, Regulatory Reporting and Profitability Analysis functions.

We are looking for a Software and Test Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex technology operations for our core finance planning and profit analysis platforms, with special emphasis around continuous improvement (CI/CD) of processes by applying modern engineering principles around DevOps. You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world "Through Clients'' Eyes."

What You Are Good At

  • Analyzing and identifying trends and patterns in datasets.

  • Identifying data anomalies and providing recommendations on additional data needed to support analytics.

  • Analyzing the work at hand and making decisions based on specific objectives.

  • Designing and developing new PeopleSoft processes

  • Assist in defining and implementing new processes within the PeopleSoft platform, ensuring that solutions are efficient, reliable, and tailored to meet core finance planning and profit analysis needs.

  • Developing application programming interfaces (APIs) to support integration and interoperability across various finance and regulatory reporting systems.

  • Utilizing advanced SQL skills to manage, query, and analyze data, enabling robust data management and supporting business intelligence efforts.

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years demonstrated real world experience in object-oriented languages.

  • Clear and concise communication skills.

  • Current working experience with Schwab systems and processes.

  • Curious Learner.

  • Strong understanding of domain-specific toolsets for conducting analysis.

  • Ability to consolidate, organize, and convey complex problems.

  • Skill to perform general integration/acceptance testing.

  • Experience with Rest and Soap Web.

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Experience with Event Mapping.

  • Understanding of Shell scripting.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum processes in planning, implementation and support of business application components and services, including change & release management.

  • Solid experience with capacity planning.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps/Operations.

  • Solid understanding of finance related systems and processes.

  • Experience with financial services industry.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials (GL, AP, PO, AR and AM).

  • Solid experience with PeopleSoft Test Framework.

  • Expertise with Control-M.

  • Solid Understanding and experience (1+ years) with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA).

  • Expertise with PowerAutomate.
