    Application deadline: Jun 10, 2026

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is proud to be the pioneer and recognized leader in Cloud Computing. Our web services provide IT infrastructure used by hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses worldwide, from startups to Global 500 companies across all industries.

AWS is looking for an experienced Storage Solutions Architect to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Amazon FSx for Lustre. You will be a technical authority working closely with service teams to drive innovation and adoption while supporting field teams and strategic customers in HPC and GenAI use cases.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable diving deep into storage service internals with engineering teams and explaining complex architectures to technical decision-makers. You will partner with AWS storage service teams to influence roadmaps, document best practices, and drive feature adoption through technical content creation and industry event presentations.

Candidates should be technical domain experts in enterprise storage technologies, with particular depth in file and data storage solutions in the cloud. Previous experience with AWS is preferred. You will work closely with senior engineers and other storage specialists to develop comprehensive solutions for customer workloads.

In this role, you will partner with Storage Product and GTM teams to enable key technical use cases and drive service adoption. Through thought leadership, you will establish best practices, propose service enhancements, and create technical content that enables successful implementation of AWS storage solutions.

This role combines service expertise with strategic customer engagement. Travel requirements are approximately 25%, primarily for speaking engagements and technical events.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary technical specialist for FSx Lustre, working closely with the service team to drive feature adoption and customer success
    • Partner with FSx Lustre GTM/Product teams to develop and execute technical strategies that drive service growth
    • Provide architectural guidance to customers implementing high-performance computing (HPC) and machine learning workloads using FSx Lustre
    • Create technical content, deliver workshops, and speak at events to educate customers on FSx Lustre best practices
    • Capture and advocate for customer feedback to influence the FSx Lustre roadmap
    • Collaborate with field SA teams to support complex customer opportunities and technical challenges
    • Mentor other SAs on FSx Lustre architecture patterns and use cases

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
