    Job Summary:

    Supermicro is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing software-level support, automation, deployment, and technical troubleshooting for strategic customers, including on-site support when required.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth server and data center deployments, drive root cause analysis for software and system issues, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

    • Perform system-level software validation, deployment, and testing for strategic customers, including functional, stress, regression, and automation scripting for server environments.
    • Provide technical support for strategic customer issues by performing root cause analysis, driving resolution, and ensuring clear internal coordination and timely communication.
    • Support on-site deployment and validation activities at customer data centers, requiring travel to customer sites as needed.
    • Lead or participate in failure analysis for critical issues and prepare 8D reports, clearly documenting root causes, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, deployment procedures, automation scripts, evaluation reports, and customer status dashboards.
    • Participate in customer and internal issue review meetings, providing technical updates and recommendations.
    • Support global team collaboration to maintain continuous coverage and timely response for high-priority projects across time zones.
    • Enforce software and system quality standards while identifying opportunities to improve deployment processes, automation, and support efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, systems deployment, automation, or technical support, preferably with data center or server industry experience.
    • Proven experience in data center operations, server deployment, and troubleshooting.
    • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
    • Solid understanding of networking, server hardware, virtualization, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call support.
    • Ability and willingness to travel for on-site customer support when required.
    • Experience with on-site deployment support or customer data center environments is highly desirable.
    • Solid understanding of validation methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking processes.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
