Job Title: Sr Software Engineer/ ServiceNow Developer Location: Melbourne, FL 32919 Duration: 12 Month contract (possible extension) Pay Range: $55 - $66/hr. on w2 Shift: 9/80 standard schedule with every 2nd Friday off Job Description: The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust, secure, and maintainable solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role delivers high-quality technical implementations in support of key business processes and integrations. Working in partnership with the ServiceNow Platform Architect and Technical Consultant, this position participates in sprints and agile ceremonies run by the software development organization while adhering to ServiceNow governance standards. • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and integrations based on approved solution designs. • Write, test, and maintain server-side and client-side scripts (Business Rules, Glide Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, etc.). • Implement robust integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server. • Build and support ServiceNow custom applications and scoped solutions where appropriate. • Apply configuration management practices, ensuring compliance with platform standards and naming conventions. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives following agile delivery methodology. • Execute unit testing, assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure code quality and maintainability. • Provide operational support, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization for ServiceNow components. • Support platform upgrades, patching, cloning, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate with the Platform Architect and Security team to implement secure coding practices and access control policies. Qualifications: • Experience: 5–10+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and implementation experience across multiple modules. • Technical Skills: Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow data models. • Knowledge of enterprise integrations and authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, etc.). • Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or other enterprise modules. • Experience working within structured development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum). • Solid understanding of configuration management, update sets, release processes, and DevOps pipelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines or resolve critical issues. Preferred Additional Skills: • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Preferred • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more areas (ITSM, ITOM, etc.) – Preferred • Experience with C# is highly desirable, as several internal tools are developed in both Java and C#, and this skillset will support future integration efforts.
