Sr Software Engineer MDM
Type: Direct hire
Location: Austin, Texas
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite
Compensation: $90,000-140,000
Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable integration solutions that enable the flow of critical master data across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and business systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrations that support s MDM platform while leveraging modern cloud technologies, API management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with data engineering, application development, architecture, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable integration solutions across the enterprise.
What You'll Do
What We're Looking For
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in integration engineering, software engineering, or application development.
Strong hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and Java-based backend applications.
Experience building microservices architectures in cloud environments.
Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions.
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with:

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Cloud Tasks
Cloud Storage
BigQuery
Firestore
Cloud SQL
Vertex AI
Experience implementing and managing APIs through APIGEE.
Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Understanding of API security, OAuth, JWT, and authentication frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
