We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative engineer to join our team to drive the development of agentic AI to support the growth of our energy business, including Industrial, Residential, Supercharger, Solar and other internal business verticals.
As a key member of the team, you will design, develop and iterate on agentic solutions that solve key internal workstreams built on data from various data sources, including deployed fleets, internal applications, and other data warehouses. Your work will accelerate how we gather insights, contribute to our understanding of key business performance indicators, inform data-driven decisions to optimize our strategies, and drive business growth.
You will be responsible for leading the development of agentic efforts to identify and resolve fleet-wide performance, operation, and maintenance challenges across our growing fleet of energy products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Industrial Energy, Residential Energy, and Solar Product and Service Engineering, to maximize the product health of our fleet.
Architect and deploy multimodal agentic systems using LLMs to create next-generation automation tools that can be leveraged by both internal and external teams
Build high-availability systems and take ownership of critical infrastructure, driving continuous improvements in reliability, latency, and security
Develop and test quick prototypes to validate concepts, create beta launches, collect feedback and iterate on optimal solutions before scaling up
Proactively identify and lead product optimizations and enhancements, while refining backend APIs to scale with product demand and align with IAM best practices
Drive adoption of large language model solutions and machine learning algorithms for optimizing how we make sense of telemetry and internal fleet data
Research and incorporate emerging language model updates, infrastructures, tools, and technologies, especially pertaining to agentic AI
Help shape the product roadmap and scaling strategy in partnership with engineering and forward-deployed resources
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
Have built or deployed systems powered by LLMs or generative models and understand how model behavior affects product experience
Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and scalability principles, including strategies for component reuse and separation of concerns
Deep knowledge of transformer-based LLMs, tokenization, embeddings, context management, evals and prompt engineering
Experience of API design and microservice architecture (Kubernetes/Docker/Message Queues/Redis)
Demonstrated experience deploying and scaling production-grade agentic solutions with modern AI frameworks (RAG, agent orchestration, GenAI SDKs, etc.)
Proven ability to evaluate and optimize LLM usage for downstream tasks
