Description:
OCTO is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for maintaining and performing continual service improvements on the following implemented modules: ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM. You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.
- Document and maintain functional business requirements, process flows and business use cases.
- Performs operational administrative tasks, as needed.
- Assists with report configuration and maintenance, as needed.
- Configure and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.
- Design/ Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules.
- Develop Workflow / Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle.
- Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).
- Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, agency security guidelines, governance policies and maintain as close to an out of the box environment as possible.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist(CIS) certification highly desired
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development of the modules listed above.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow Architecture and ServiceNow Scripting.
- Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production.
- Demonstrated knowledge of service management processes, procedures, and software, and including knowledge of ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.
Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. - Researches, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
- Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Acts as team leader on projects.
- Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
- Participates in development of software user manuals.
