Job Details

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to lead all aspects of quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-growing manufacturing environment. This leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining world-class quality systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, driving customer satisfaction, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality leader with experience managing QA and QC programs in food, beverage, nutritional supplements, health & wellness products, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Manage internal audits, customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Oversee laboratory testing, product evaluations, environmental monitoring, and quality verification programs.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics, customer complaints, non-conformances, and quality trends.
  • Partner with Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D teams to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Establish and maintain supplier quality programs and vendor qualification processes.
  • Train, mentor, and develop QA/QC team members while promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Support new product launches and process validation activities.
  • Manage product hold, release, and disposition decisions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of Quality leadership experience within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, FSMA, GMPs, HACCP, and quality management systems.
  • Experience leading SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, ISO, or similar certification programs.
  • Proven success managing audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems, quality software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PCQI Certification
  • SQF Practitioner Certification
  • HACCP Certification
  • Experience within nutritional supplements, food manufacturing, beverages, health & wellness products, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Multi-site quality leadership experience.
