This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who is passionate about statistical process control, data‑driven decision making, and continuous improvement . As the site's PCS subject matter expert, you will embed Process Control Planning (PCP) and Six Sigma principles into daily operations, ensuring robust, capable, and predictable manufacturing processes. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to reduce variation, improve process performance, and strengthen product quality for our customers.What You Will DoProcess Control LeadershipServe as the primary PCS focal point for the site, guiding consistent application of process control practicesDevelop, maintain, and deploy the site's Process Control System (PCS) proceduresEnsure PCS requirements are followed through audits, coaching, and direct engagement with technical teamsLead structured PCS reviews using tools such as: Process Mapping, Cause & Effect (C&E) analysis, FMEA, control charts & Measurement System Analysis (MSA)Data, Training & CoachingLead routine SPC and control chart reviews to ensure process stability and capabilityTrain and coachManufacturing operators in basic SPCEngineers (Manufacturing, Operations, R&D) in PCS and advanced data analysisDeliver SPC and data analytics training to site teams and support field teams (Sales, Technical Service & Development)Act as a technical expert in: MSA / GR&R, Design of Experiments (DOE), Process change criteria, Tool, Equipment matching and validationStrategic & Cross‑Functional ImpactPartner with engineering and operations teams to reduce process variation and drive continuous improvement through Process controlAnalyze complex process data to identify trends, relationships, and improvement opportunitiesSupport customer audits, technical reviews, and special requests related to process controlCollaborate with other Qnity sites to share best practices and advance PCS maturity across the networkInfluence and support Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) using PCS and Six Sigma toolsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineeringStrong hands‑on experience with SPC, statistical analysis, and data‑driven problem solvingDemonstrated ability to improve process consistency, quality performance, and manufacturing capabilityExperience leading technical projects involving multiple engineering disciplinesAbility to make sound, independent engineering judgmentsStrong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels and culturesProven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on timeWorking knowledge of database fundamentals and data mining techniquesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related fieldSix Sigma Black Belt certificationExperience with tools such as JMP, Minitab, NWA, and MIDAs digital platformsHands‑on experience with chemical and physical material analysisExperience working directly with customers and suppliers, including translating process control requirements into production executionWhy Join UsMake a visible impact on process capability, quality, and customer satisfactionWork at the intersection of advanced materials, manufacturing, and data analyticsCollaborate with experienced technical leaders across a global networkGrow your technical leadership and influence in a highly respected engineering organizationQnity is an equal opportunity employer.
