This is an opportunity to join a growing organization where you'll play a key role in strengthening inspection processes, technical data packages, and quality system execution.The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support product quality, metrology, inspection strategy, and compliance across a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing and improving inspection methods across CMMs, visual inspection systems, and related testing equipment while ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, AS9100D, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.Responsibilities Develop and maintain inspection methods utilizing CMMs, visual inspection systems, and other metrology equipment.Assist with CMM and visual inspection equipment programming to support efficient and accurate inspection of precision components.Interpret GD&T requirements and translate engineering drawings into effective inspection programs and measurement strategies.Develop test methods, inspection fixtures, and measurement systems to support product inspection and validation.Prepare and maintain Technical Data Packages including drawings, Quality Plans, PPAPs, ISIRs, FAIRs, Capability Studies, MSA documentation, specifications, and performance requirements.Support APQP activities, FMEAs, process development, and product qualification requirements.Analyze inspection and test data to support Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and customer requirements.Develop and improve processes for data collection, documentation, record retention, and reporting of inspection and test data.Support process capability studies, Cp/Cpk analysis, GR&R studies, SPC, and statistical analysis activities.Drive continuous improvement projects within the metrology function to improve inspection efficiency, accuracy, and operational performance.Support customer, internal, and third‑party audits.Provide technical support and training related to CMM programming, dimensional inspection, GD&T interpretation, documentation practices, and reporting standards.Evaluate existing metrology technologies and support implementation of new inspection methods and equipment.Participate as an active contributor to quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered.3+ years of quality experience supporting aerospace & defense, precision metals, machining, fabrication, medical device, or related manufacturing environments preferred.3+ years of 3D CMM programming experience preferred; Zeiss Calypso experience strongly preferred.Experience supporting ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and/or AS9100D quality systems.Strong knowledge of GD&T, technical drawings, dimensional inspection, and AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.Experience with Technical Data Packages, PPAPs, ISIRs, FAIRs, Quality Plans, MSA, and process capability studies.Proficiency with inspection equipment including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, visual inspection systems, and related metrology tools.Experience with Cp, Cpk, GR&R, SPC, statistical analysis, and process capability methodologies.Experience supporting customer, internal, and third‑party audits.Strong problem‑solving skills with experience using RCCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, and related corrective action tools.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to quality, compliance, and documentation discipline.Ability to interpret data, draw meaningful conclusions, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.Strong interpersonal and customer‑facing skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams.Self‑motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accountability.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn ERP, MES, and quality systems.Preferred certifications include ASQ, GD&T, CMM programming, Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or CAPM.Why Join Opportunity to take ownership of inspection strategy, metrology processes, and quality documentation within a growing manufacturing organization.High visibility across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and customer‑facing activities.Direct impact on product quality, compliance, process capability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.Technical environment supporting aerospace & defense, medical device, and precision manufacturing requirements.Collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and execution.#J-18808-Ljbffr
