Now Hiring: Senior Project Superintendent | Amarillo, TX (On-Site)
We’re partnering with a national, publicly traded infrastructure company to identify an experienced Senior Project Superintendent for a critical on-site leadership role in Amarillo, TX.
This position is ideal for a proven construction leader with experience managing large, technically complex DOE 413.B programs while fostering a strong safety culture, operational discipline, and a highly collaborative project environment.
This role is essential to the successful execution of NNSA advanced facilities and infrastructure projects, particularly within highly regulated federal and nuclear environments.
What You’ll Do
- Direct and coordinate all on-site construction activities and subcontractor operations to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Develop and manage short-interval construction schedules in partnership with the Project Manager and Project Scheduler to optimize workflow and resource utilization
- Enforce compliance with all site safety requirements, including 10 CFR 851, OSHA standards, EM 385-1-1, and company safety programs
- Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Coordinate inspections and quality control activities with the CQC System Manager to ensure work meets specifications and regulatory requirements
- Manage punch list completion and project closeout activities
- Review subcontractor field resources, including labor, equipment, and materials
- Resolve constructability issues, field conflicts, and design clarifications in real time
- Maintain daily construction logs, progress reports, and documentation of field conditions
- Communicate project status regularly to the Project Manager and key stakeholders
- Work a minimum of 50 hours per week and be available for extended hours, weekends, and emergency response as project conditions require
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Required Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Senior Project Superintendent or Construction Manager
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Licenses / Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
Preferred: USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise up to five superintendents, depending on project phase
Travel Requirements
- Estimated travel: 40%
- Overnight travel: Yes, occasionally for training or multi-site coordination
