Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Project Manager for a Consulting assignment with one of our premier clients.

We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to oversee and manage IT projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in IT, excellent project management skills, and the ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
    • Ensure project adherence to industry best practices, standards, and methodologies.
  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
    • Communicate project updates, progress, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and address concerns or conflicts that arise.
  3. Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
    • Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management when necessary.
  4. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring expenses are tracked and controlled.
    • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project objectives are met.
    • Monitor and manage project financials, providing regular reports to senior management.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
    • Conduct regular reviews and audits of project processes and outputs.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Ensure all project documentation is organized and accessible.
