Job Summary The Senior Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing a portfolio of military construction and capital development projects. This role oversees the program management and operational implementation of large-scale, high-value foodservice build-outs across multiple military installations. You will lead a team of Project Managers to ensure the successful execution of complex design-build initiatives, managing the P&L for the portfolio and forging strategic alliances with external construction partners and global federal stakeholders. Reports To: EVP of Design & Space Transformation. Location: Remote (near a major city and hub airport preferred). Travel: Up to 40% for client engagement and portfolio oversight. ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management: Lead Program Management and Implementation teams across business lines to ensure the successful execution of large-scale construction initiatives. Strategic Client Engagement: Lead military client relationships with regular engagements, business reviews, and performance analysis to develop the Future of Food strategy. Financial & P&L Oversight: Play a key role in managing the portfolio P&L, overseeing budgets, and refining financial estimating strategies for capital development. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers, fostering technical expertise in construction management and federal compliance. Strategic Alliances: Forge strategic alliances with external partners and General Contractors to streamline purchasing, vendor selection, and competitive bidding processes. Risk & Contract Management: Define contractual obligations and oversee project budgets and schedules to ensure strict alignment with sector and federal objectives. QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum 10 years in Client Management and Program/Project Management with a focus on global client management and capital construction. Leadership: 5 years in a leadership role with a history of delivering measurable results in environments undergoing transformation. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the Design & Build development process, including A&E, custom millwork, and industrial equipment manufacturing. Strategic Skills: Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, negotiate contracts, and manage high-pressure project pipelines.
